As one of the premier custom molders of close tolerance, engineered resins, Thermotech is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. ![]() As a Quality Engineer at Thermotech, you will play an important role in ensuring our company remains competitive, while establishing and maintaining best-in-class customer relationships through rapid responsiveness to customer needs and requirements. Some aspects involved in accomplishing these goals will involve you working with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality Inspectors, and Operations personnel to resolve internal quality issues and minimize downtime and scrap.
Being a part of cross-functional teams to continually improve processes, applying corrective actions, use of statistical methods, and doing audits and surveys of suppliers, you will help ensure Thermotech's success with our customers. You will also be a part of continually improving Thermotech's Quality Systems by performing internal audits to assure adherence to our Quality Systems and participating in the corrective action process on audit findings. Researching new technologies to improve the efficiency of quality inspections is also an important part of this job. You will assure that all necessary customer approvals and waivers are obtained for existing processes, while supporting PPAP submissions and promoting quality awareness throughout the operation.
This important role requires a Bachelors Degree or 4 years technical training in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. Other job requirements include the following: good written, verbal and interpersonal skills. SPC knowledge, blueprint reading and interpretation, and exposure to the thermoplastic field.
Experience in system audit and plant certification such as TS and ISO, APQP experience in new product launch, Six Sigma and problem solving tools and continuous improvement is a huge plus.
