We are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Injection Molding Engineer for an opportunity located in either Richardson, TX or Claremont, NC.

PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This engineer will serve as a plastic injection molding resource for the design engineering department and will support injection molding operations at various national and international manufacturing facilities. The engineer will perform a variety of engineering functions ranging from initial design reviews to overseeing tool qualifications. Specific responsibilities are listed below:

• Participate in review and approval of component designs, drawings, and material selections
• Research materials suitable for new products
• Provide DFM feedback on new tool designs and tool modifications
• Review, propose, and implement part changes to reduce component costs
• Perform technical audits of potential molding suppliers.
• Assist in troubleshooting and continuous improvements projects.
  
  Support new product introduction activities, including, but not limited to:
  
   
• Test production runs
• Tool qualification
• First article inspections
• Quality inspection criteria
  
  PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
   
• Requirements for consideration include a four year engineering degree and 5+ years of experience with injection molding design and processing experience, preferably related to connector components.
• Bachelor�s of Science degree in Engineering (Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials preferred)
• Significant hands-on engineering knowledge of plastic injection molding, including part manufacturability, processing, and tooling design
• Experience with hot runner systems and small parts
• Proficient in Pro-E, AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mold flow analysis software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
