Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Plastic Molding Job:
Read and review daily production schedule.
Complete daily reports including cycle time, daily production, scrap tickets and packaging.
Maintain quality and speed control by continual adjustments of gauges that control temperature, pressure, trim, roll (if applicable) and speed to material.
Visually assess thickness of material to determine necessary gauge adjustments.
Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment.
Monitor machines for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc.Initiate troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems.
If unsuccessful in making repairs, notifies supervisor and/or maintenance for assistance.
Ensure adequate materials and rolls (if applicable) are available in the department for production runs.
Follow equipment change procedures and threads rolls into machine (if applicable).
Other Duties and Responsibilities of the Plastic Molding Job:
Perform change-over and set-up procedures. Keep general work area clean.
Provide guidance to Product Handlers and Forklift Operators on moving materials as necessary. Assist in training other operators.
Operate forklift and other powered industrial vehicles as required.
* Will perform other duties as assigned.
Plastic Molding Job Requirements :
High School diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years experience operating manufacturing equipment.
Experience using process control equipment a plus.
Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills desirable.
Must be comfortable working with and around industrial equipment.
Must be able to stand during shift and lift up to 50lbs.
Good math skills.Use of measuring devices, differentiate colors and perform basic math calculations.
Good communication skills and a team player.
Able to work unsupervised in a safe and productive manner.
