MGS Mfg. Group, Inc, a progressive plastics manufacturing company has an immediate opening for an experienced injection molding Process Technician in our Antioch, Illinois facility. Qualified candidates will have experience in 2-shot molding, start up and shut down procedures, ability to perform set-ups, viscosity curves and gate freezes. This position is responsible for troubleshooting valve gate systems and hydraulic systems on tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Plastics Molding Jobs:
Assist the Production Supervisor by enforcing Company policies and procedures including work rules, housekeeping, general manufacturing practices, safety and accident reports, technical area, maintenance, and mold storage.
Maximize productivity by keeping the molding machines running and directing subordinates in all areas of molding.
Check production process against documented process, which includes all support equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on production molds as required.
Perform set-up and troubleshoot for injection molding processes.
Perform start-up and shut-down procedures.
Monitor molding process and update process window per procedure when necessary, and document on appropriate forms.
Resolve injection molding press issues.
Perform programming functions and troubleshoot for robotic/automation systems.
Observe and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Experience and Skills of the Plastics Molding Jobs
We are looking for skilled individuals with a solid 7-10 years of processing experience in the Plastics industry from a fast-paced environment
