Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Plastic Blow Molding Job:
•Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in the required time. •Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures. •Ensure raw material flow up to the point of molding. •Ensure that safety and quality requirements are fulfilled. •Ensure that assigned processes are done within the allotted time per management. •Identify mechanical or process issues with their equipment and – if necessary – interact with Maintenance or Tool & Die to get the issues resolved. •Comply with all plant 5S standards, maintaining a clean working environment. This includes, but is not limited to: o Ensuring that material spills are immediately cleaned up, keeping aisle-ways clear, o Returning color to the correct storage areas, o Preventing the spill of plastic ‘fines’. o Keep cyclone / bag filters / gaylords of regrind emptied. • Aggressively keep plant total regrind levels to a minimum. • Make continuous cycles through the machines that are running; at each machine: o Remove worms from all blow molding heads o Change and/or clean vacuum filters on each machine’s blender and surge bins o Clean excess plastic from around the top of accumulators o Clean the magnets above the feed throat. Clean all material spills as you go. ·Remain current on forklift training and certification as required by supervisor, manager, and/or Igloo Safety
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Plastic Blow Molding Job Requirements and Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalency •Minimum of 1 year blow mold/ manufacturing experience •Minimum of 6 months of experience on the sit-down forklift •Must speak, read, write and comprehend English •Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide • Able to sit and stand for long hours and work in dirty or greasy environment when needed We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
