Assist Molding Managers in coordinating, controlling, and managing the development and implementation of operational goals and objectives including scheduled production of goods, safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency through the use of a variety of resources.
Ensure meeting production schedule while optimizing resource utilization.
Provide leadership and support to process engineers, project engineers, and supervisors; making goals and objectives known and understood to employees, holding direct reports accountble for desired results.
Develop & implement plans and strategies to ensure positive employee relations and effective communications across all shifts and departments.
Work with supervisors to implement and document employee data and suggestions to improve overall performance, efficiency, and profitability of the division.
Provide and document adequate training through the use of ISO work instructions and develop employees for department and company opportunities in conjunction with the Molding Manager.
Coordinate with Centralized Maintenance to ensure proper utilization and repair of equipment and tools.
Ensure accuracy of required records and documentation for review and follow-up including production reports.
Gain and utilize knowledge and implementtion of various secondary equipment used in the production process to increase profitability.
Use (HVS) tools and implement measures to improve methods, equipment, performance and product quality.
Directly supervises process engineers, project engineers and supervisors. Indirectly supervise group leaders, material handlers, and inspector packers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Education/Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent in combination of work and experience. should have 5-7 years experience in molding manufacturing with 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge of molding operations including some knowledge of robotics, EOA's, printers, welders, and other secondary equipment. Knowledge of computer systems and applications for reporting.
