Essential Responsibilities:
* Lead and support projects and activities related to the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and related equipment with emphasis on deep gage plastic thermoforming operations. * Provide detailed planning and implementation of Right-sized manufacturing equipment and processes for thermoforming equipment and product tooling requirements as it relates to refrigerator. * Lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities in support of New Product Introduction and plant operations. * Provide technical leadership & in-depth expertise to investigate, initiate and drive the development, procurement and implementation of equipment & processes for manufacturing. * Lead Action Work Outs and Production Preparation Process (3P) to design and improve lean manufacturing processes, including; Right-sized equipment, Standard Work, Work Station Design and Layout, Material Presentation and flow routes, Supermarket Planning, Part Container Design & Single Piece Flow into all processes. * Use 3P to plan, specify, procure, certify and implement into production, high quality, cost effective, right-sized manufacturing processes, fixtures and equipment. * Some travel may be required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with plastic thermoforming manufacturing equipment and manufacturing processes development. * Technical degree, tooling apprenticeship or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in manufacturing equipment including specification and procurement of plastics tooling. * Demonstrated project management skills. * Significant experience in manufacturing plant environment. * Current Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Auto Cad and Outlook experience. * Willing and able to travel if needed. Average 25%
Desired Characteristics:
* Technical degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
