Responsibilities:
Inspect molded product using dial calipers, micrometers, and hard gaging
Operate extruder and downstream equipment (puller, slitter, reeler, grinder, vision system) to prescribed guidelines
Transport plastic pellets to central feeding system, and take away ground scrap and segregate
Requirement:
Obtain set up parameters for processes and input them into extruder
Operate the extruder including identification and notification of alarms
Perform general inspection of molded product using a microscope, gages, and other measuring equipment as required by the quality inspection plan
Perform in-process adjustments to auxiliary equipment as required
Completes required paperwork to report production, scrap, downtime, problems and issues related to the equipment and labor reporting
Inform group leader of mold/process malfunctions
General Housekeeping of work area
HS Diploma or GED
Basic Computer Skills
Good Communication Skills
Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties
