Participates in Quote reviews, tool design reviews, and Lessons Learned meetings
Working from CAD models or dimensioned prints, develops CNC programs and performs setup and machining on 3- and 4-axis equipment (HAAS and Fadal machining centers)
Reviews tooling Bill of Materials and fills out purchase requisitions. Assists Engineering Coordinator as required to order and procure needed parts, materials, and components
Provides Engineering and Program Management with the detail needed to quote tool build, repairs, refurbishment and engineering changes to tools
Safely sets up and operates CNC, mills, lathes, EDM and other shop equipment. Operates hoists and lifting equipment to position tools on benches for repair and assembly.
Builds and assembles injection molds for multicavity tooling. Both hot and cold runner experience required.
Performs repairs and Preventive Maintenance on molds, gages and tooling in support of Manufacturing
Repairs and maintains end-of-fill sensors, hot manifolds and other peripheral equipment
Tracks and reports hours spent on repair by tool number, keeps detailed notes on work done
Performs other duties as directed by Management
PREFERENCES: Preference will be given to candidates who have Plastic Injection Molding specific experience and/or a Journeyman's card.
