SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Project Manager, based in Boulder, Colorado, will be focused on operations projects, restructuring, out sourcing, capital investment analysis, make versus buy analysis, automation, process support and infrastructure upgrades at medical device manufacturing plants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Creation of work breakdown structures, budgets and timelines.
2. Manages the day-to-day activities of project team members.
3. Tracks project progress against plan
4. Manages the project budget
5. Identifies project risks
6. Provides plans to mitigate those risks
7. Provides periodic updates on the project.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Plastics Engineering, or similar disciplines required. Advanced degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Eight years experience in manufacturing industry (preferably Medical Devices) with progressively increasing managerial and technical roles as well as demonstrated project execution experience. Some formal training in the project management process.
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of medical device manufacturing, GMP's, and FDA preferred.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Must be proficient in both written and oral communication skills, and proficient with Microsoft Project
OTHER SKILLS:
Predominately North America based (including support of two major manufacturing facilities in Mexico), however travel to Europe and Asia may be required. Note that this position will have up to a 50% travel requirement.View Larger Map
